About CSE

The Center for the Study of Economics is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit tax educational foundation, established in 1980 as the sister organization of the Henry George Foundation of America. 

We study the impact of LVT on a community, as well as providing technical assistance in implementation and tax administration. Where appropriate, the Center will promote the adoption of LVT.

Job Opportunities

The Center for the Study of Economics seeks to employ those who believe there must be a better way to finance our governments, combat sprawl without breaking the public bank, and are interested in helping the disadvantaged without establishing new layers of intrusive and uncaring bureaucracy.

Data Entry Tech (Temporary part-time paid)

We are looking for a temporary part-time Data Entry Tech to update, maintain, and organize our database and paper files. Qualifications for this paid, temporary part-time position include working knowledge of MS Access database, proficiency in Excel and Word processing.

Research Assistant (Part-time Internship) 

We are seeking a research assistant intern to help with data cleaning and analysis. The research assistant intern must be flexible, able to work with a team as well as independently and meet deadlines. Interest in housing, real estate or local public finance are pluses, but not absolutely necessary. The work requires close attention to detail; proficiency in Excel, familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, and some experience working with large datasets. The RA intern must commit approximately 8 - 16 hours per week.
